About the Artist
 Mary
has been creating stained glass artwork for six years. Her work
can be found in private collections throughout the US in Los Angeles,
Santa Cruz, San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; Athens, GA; and Long
Beach Island, NJ. Mary has shown in the Atelier Gallery in Santa
Cruz and at the Pajaro Valley Arts Council in Watsonville, CA.
This summer, Mary showedat the m.t. burton gallery in Surf City,
NJ. Mary is currently showing at the Long Beach Island Foundation
of Arts and Sciences.
Mary earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Miami, FL
in 1993 and Master of Arts at the University of Georgia in 1996.
Since then she has worked as a stained glass artist, travelled
extensively, and held various corporate positions. Mary cultivated
her love for stained glass and craftsmanship skills by working
at Kiss My Glass in Santa Cruz, CA. It was in this environment
that Mary was better able to explore the beauty of glass and develop
her creativity.
Currently, Mary teaches Hot Glass Beadmaking and Stepping Stone
Mosaic courses in a host of art centers, community education programs,
and adult schools throughout New Jersey. When she is not working,
sleeping, or traveling, she surfs and enjoys the outdoors. This
is the source of many of her artistic inspirations.
