Mosaics are our most popular class, here at SwellColors Glass Studio. We offer mosaic workshops as a drop-in class every day that we are open. A fun introduction to making glass art, our outdoor garden bricks make a great gift and a fun project. We use concrete so that the bricks are weather-ready and able to be left outside year round.

Step 1: Assemble your tools! Glass cutter and Weldbond glue.

Step 2: Design your piece and start cutting and glueing down glass.

Step 2: Cutting and glueing- make sure not to overglue!

Step 3: Assess your design- make sure there are no big open gaps between the glass.

Step 4: Grout your mosaic. For an outdoor, weather-ready piece, we use concrete for durability.

Step 4: Grout your mosaic. Grout needs to get into every crevice between every glass piece and around the outside of your base.

Step 5: Clean your piece. Wipe off excess grout and allow to dry.
